    BUS UPDATES

Great and exciting things have been happening with the bus situation. We did get the bus a few weeks ago and moved it here to our house. We've been hard at work getting the remodeling going so we can start using the bus for traveling.

There is too much to tell you all about the bus saga and our new travel ministry, so please visit our website for the bus. You won't be disappointed. You will see before and after pictures of the remodeling process, our prayer needs for the bus, the whole story that led up to getting the bus, and more.

  • Sowing and Reaping: A Testimony of Faith

    Laws of Nature

Whether we are People of Faith or not, we all know that there are laws of nature that cannot be denied. There is the law of gravity: what goes up must come down. There is the law of motion: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. There is the law of conception: male and female of the same species will create another of the same species. Human beings do not procreate baby lizards, rabbits, or monkeys; they procreate baby human beings. And yet another law of nature is one day we are born and one day we will die. It’s inevitable. No one lives forever.

The Wheels On The Bus Go 'Round and 'Round

We've been praying for quite a while that the Lord would provide a mobile home for us to use to travel to and from events. It's been listed on our website "wish list" as well. We're getting a little crowded in the van, even with the trailer. The kids are getting bigger and now with Keith and Gary traveling with us more in addition to all their equipment, we're even outgrowing the trailer.

  • Give Thanks

Our Thanksgiving report is a little late this year with the passing of Lou's mom. First I want to say "thank you" for all your emails, cards, phone calls, dinners, visits, and most importantly your prayers for the family during this difficult time. We know that Gladys is in a better place where there is no more suffering or pain. Praise the Lord for that hope! As Keith mentioned last weekend during one of our concerts, it was great to see at the funeral service how many people stood to testify how much Gladys affected their lives and how many people she brought to the Lord. It made me think of a song Lou used to sing, "Thank You" by Ray Boltz. We might have to revive that song!

  • Prayer Answered: NO RAIN!

Another year has come and gone and another Gospel Sing is over. We had a beautiful day, NO RAIN! All the groups showed up and were on time and the schedule went smooth. And more people attended than last year. Everyone had a great time and some die-hard people stayed till the very last note was played. Some cuddled in their coats and blankets towards the end because it did get a little chilly when the sun went down.

  • 2006 Gospel Sing

This is our 6th year of hosting the Gospel Sing here at Renzie Park. I will admit that the first year we did this it was a bigger undertaking that what we thought it would be. But we made it through, it was successful and everyone had a great time. Then three days after our first event was the 9-11 tragedy.

Every year since then we take a few moments throughout the day to remember those who lost their lives 9-11-2001 and those who fought for others’ lives. We remember the tragedy but we remember that we have a God that is greater. This year, being the 5th anniversary of that tragedy, will be no different.

  • Robin Mark in Concert

Last night we had the privilege of being in a back-up choir for Robin Mark. If you don’t know who Robin Mark is you are missing a wonderful amount of music. Or perhaps you already know the music but just don’t realize who the author or singer of that music is. Well Robin is the author of "Days of Elijah" — a song that Chalice sings at the end of almost every program. Lou and I have been singing that song for about 10 years. In fact, Chalice does several songs written by Robin Mark.

  • Letting go…and letting God

I don't know who all reads these postings, but I would like to share a personal experience with you.

This past weekend was a great time of ministry for us. We had a worship service at a new church and I was really concerned how it was going to go. We spoke to the people in charge the week before and I was concerned how our style would be received. When we got there, we were met with smiles and helping hands to unload the equipment (which is always welcomed). As we set up, I felt that God was, even then, instilling peace in my heart. We did what we do best, which was to follow the flow of the Holy Spirit, putting all our worries behind us (get behind me satan!) and even did a new song that went over beyond great.
